Our story

Black Surf Bali is a small, local surf school in Sanur. We grew up surfing these reefs, and we love sharing them — patiently, safely and with a lot of laughs.

Sanur has a special kind of wave: long, clean reef breaks that are great for learning — if you know when and where to go. That is why we always take our guests out by boat to the spot that suits the tide on the day. No long paddles, no crowds.

Besides surfing we take guests snorkeling on the Sanur and Nusa Penida reefs, and fishing on a traditional jukung with local fishermen. Everything is run by local people, in small groups, with clear prices.
